Anna Nora Freeman, age 88, passed away at Grisell Memorial Hospital, Ransom, Kansas on October 11, 2011.
She was born April 17, 1923 in Utica, Kansas the daughter of Walter and Josie Clodfelter Zordel.
She was a homemaker and a long-time resident of Ransom and Utica. She also had lived in Kingsdown and Bucklin.. She was a member of the Ransom Church of Christ, the Home Demonstration Unit of Utica, and Jane's and Jean's Square Dance Club of Ransom. On August 12, 1941 she married Clyde Hazen in Utica, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1970. She later married Raymond "Bill" Freeman on May 8, 1971 in WaKeeney, Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1987.
She is survived by her brothers, Albert Zordel (Alouise), Ransom, and August Zordel (Susan), Ransom; sisters, Lila Reeder, Cleburne, Texas, Ida Mae Decker (Wilbur), Hooker, Oklahoma, and Dollie Shoupe (Clarence), Seeley Lake, Montana; stepdaughter, Willis Freeman, McPherson; and several stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Walter, Jr. and Roy Zordel; and sister, Wanda Joy Nixon.
Funeral service will be Saturday, October 15, 2011, 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Christ, Ransom. Friends may call Thursday from 1 P.M. to 9.M. And Friday from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Burial at Ransom Cemetery.
