Obituary

Annette M. (Kraus) Lang, 65 passed away January 24, 2026, after an extended battle with cancer. She went to her eternal resting place surrounded by family at her home in Solomon.

She was born September 30, 1960, in Ransom, Kansas, the daughter of Hugo and Alice (Hilmes) Kraus. She was a proud graduate of Ransom High School (1978), Saint Mary of the Plains (1980), and Fort Hays State (1983). She married Brian Lang on September 3, 1988, in Ransom and they welcomed son Caleb into the family in 1995.   Annette worked at various jobs in Hays, Ness City, and Abilene. She will be remembered for her love of traveling and proudly accomplished her goal of seeing all 50 states and 54 of the U. S. National Parks.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents; brothers David and Michael, and sister and brother-in-law Julie and Marvin (Scooter) Kramer.  She is survived by her husband of the home and son Caleb (Veronica) of Kansas City, MO; sisters Nancy Foust (Tim Hertel), Hays, and Jeanette Flax (Fred), Ransom; brothers John (Susan), Patrick (Kay), and Mark, all of Ransom; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family has chosen cremation with a private service to be held in Solomon.  The family suggests memorials be given to the Tammy Walker Cancer Foundation or the Hospice of Dickinson County.
