Anthony James "Tony" Dumler, age 51, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Ness County Hospital, Ness City. He was born Dec. 4, 1958 in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Gustave and L. Merle Smith Dumler.
He was a Production Foreman for Mull Drilling and he loved his job. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Tony was always in a good mood – laughing, smiling and making jokes. He was a member of the NRA, and an organ donor.
Tony was survived by his mother, Merle Evans and her husband Richard, McAlester, OK; four brothers, Mike and Virgea Smith, Hugoton, Kansas, Roger and Becky Dumler, Kalvesta, KS, Randy and Jaci Dumler, Ness City, and Skip and Betty Evans, Crowder, OK; two sisters Sue and Larry Kraisinger and Vickie Dumler, all of McAlester, and two step-brothers, Rick and Esther Evans, CA and Brad Evans, Kanapolis, KS. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, David Dumler.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 5 2010, 1:30 PM at the United Methodist Church, Ness City with Rev. Mark Chambers presiding. Friends may call at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 pm until 9pm and Monday from 9am until 9pm with the family present from 5-7. Burial in the Kidderville Cemetery, Hodgeman County.
Memorial contributions may be given to the National Parkinson's Association and the American Heart Association.
