Barbara Jean Davis, 83, passed away on May 19, 2021 at the her home in Healy, Kansas.  She was born on April 28, 1938 in Brownell, Kansas the daughter of Lewis and Mildred (Sunley) Green.

Barbara drove a bus for the Scott County School District for many years, worked as a sales clerk for the Healy COOP Grocery Store for 13 years and she also read electric meters for Lane-Scott Electric.  On May 31, 1955 she married Ira Quiller Davis in Ness City, Kansas.  He preceded her in death on August 26, 2008.

She is survived by her two sons, Clinton Davis (Jean Lesky) of Aztec, New Mexico and Galen Davis of Dighton; one daughter, Aleta Booth (Terrance) of Ashland; one brother, Bill Green of Garden City; one sister, Marge Horlick of Overland Park; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Douglas Davis; a brother, Norman Green; a sister, Luella Gray; and a great grandson, Piers Schafer.

Funeral service and burial will be on Thursday, May 27, 2021, 10:00 AM, at the Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell, Kansas. Viewing will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5 - 7 p.m.
