Obituary

"Bobbi" Barbara Lea Spayde, 81, of Ness City, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Ness County Hospital in Ness City.

She was born on September 18, 1944, in Great Bend, Kansas, the youngest daughter of Wilbert and Lois (Yount) Stieben.

Bobbi worked for many years as a medical records clerk for Dr. Wiens and Dr. Imseis in Ness City. She faithfully attended the First Baptist Church of Ness City, where she especially enjoyed attending the Wednesday Night Ladies' Bible studies.

On May 9, 1991, she married David Lawrence in Great Bend. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2021.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Spayde of Arizona; two daughters, Rhonda Pavic and her husband, Tony, of Ohio, and Misti Nixon and her husband, Jason, of Kansas, and their children, Zane, Adalynn, Malachi, and Hannah; six step-children and their families; her sister, Kaye Harris of Kansas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; her son, Michael Spayde; two grandchildren; and a stepson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Ness City, with burial to follow in the Ness City Cemetery.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City.
