Obituary

Betty Lou Richardson, 89, passed away on May 31, 2021 at the Rush County Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care in LaCrosse, Kansas.  She was born on September 14, 1931 in Hays, Kansas the daughter of Chester "Bud" and Nellie (Stoskopf) Foster.

Betty was a 1949 graduate of the Brownell High School. She worked the farm alongside her husband and managed the family home.  She drove the school bus for the Ransom School District for 27 years.  She married Glenn W. Richardson  on October 22, 1951, in Brownell, Kansas.  He preceded her in death on April 15, 2008.

Survivors include her son, Dwayne Richardson and his wife Dee Dee of Brownell; two grandchildren, Warren Richardson (Rashell McCarty) and Amber Richardson; and two great grandsons, Larry and Rusty Richardson.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn; brother, Lyle Foster; and three sisters, Erma Kraft, Donna Nuttle, and Verla Craig.

A memorial service and inurnment will be on Saturday, June 5, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at the Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Brownell American Legion.
