Betty Leone De Vore Sidebottom, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2010 in Harlingen, Texas.
Betty was very active in the Delta area for many years along side her husband Otis Sidebottom who passed away in 1999.
A longtime member of the Edcouch Order of the Eastern Star, # 859, she was elected as Worthy Matron in 1988-1989 and again honored as Worthy Matron of the Edinburg Chapter # 473 in 2000/2001.
She was a longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Edcouch,Texas.
Betty is survived by her loving son & daughter Larry Sidebottom of Edcouch, Texas and Joyce Gaude of D' Hanis, Texas; grandchildren: Brian (wife Darcy) Gaude, Amy (husband Kevin) Nelson; great grandchildren: Christian, Joshua, Ashleigh Gaude and Jacob, Caleb, Ava Nelson
Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at the McCaleb Funeral Home Chapel in Weslaco, Texas.
Family members will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the funeral service.
Rev. John Smith, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Edcouch, Texas will officiate.
Interment and Committal service will follow at the Ransom Cemetery in Ransom, Kansas on Tuesday, February 2, 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Barbara McLain presiding.
