Beverly Jean Whipple, age 67, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, January 9, 2011. She was born on Feb. 23, 1943 the daughter of E. Keith and Irene Janie Sides Reimer in Scott City, Kansas.

She was an excellent elementary and secondary school teacher and a member of the First Christian Church, Scott City.

On April 1, 1985 she married Randy Whipple at Dighton, Kansas. He survives.

Other survivors include her daughters and their husbands: Jeanne and Kyle Holton, Concord, Michigan, Wendy and Greg Miller, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Andrea and Shay Bernard, Overland Park, Kansas, Tiffany and Paul Alf, Monee, Illinois; 3 brothers: Karl and Milan Reimer both of Leoti, Kansas and Dwight Reimer, San Diego, California and her sister: Marilyn Robertson, Charlotte, North Carolina; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith, Janie, and Willis Reimer and an unborn granddaughter, GiLana Alf.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 13, 2011, 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church, Scott City with Pastor Jeff Knighton presiding. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Wednesday from 2:00 - 9:00 pm and at the church on Thursday from 11:00 am until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church or Somerset Beach Campground.
