Billie Jo Swim, age 76, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Western Kansas Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born May 18, 1934 in Thayer, Missouri the daughter of Charles and Pauline Sweaney Jobe. She was a homemaker and a devoted caregiver with Senior Companions in Dodge City.

On October 27, 1952 she married Donald D. "Duck" Swim in Salina, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1980. Billie and Duck made their home in Ness City, Kansas. In 1997 Billie moved to Dodge City.

Survivors include her companion, Tim Davenport, Minneola, Kansas; son, Donald Swim II and his wife Susan, Chandler, Arizona; four daughters Diane Dexter and Robert Roths, Mary Sue and Eldon Fehrenbach, Patricia and Kenny Koerner all of Ness City and Jeanne and Dana Hansen, Benton, Kansas; one sister Charlene Anderson, South Port, Indiana; 12 grandchildren: Ginger Braun, Brandon Dexter, Holly Rebel, Wendy Rusco, Samantha Hansen, Zane Hansen, Shane Reilly Hansen, Kevin Koerner, Dr. Joey Koerner, Chrissy Koerner, Trey Swim and Blake Swim and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lee Fellhoelter.
Memorial services will be at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Monday, July 19,10:00 am with Pastor Randall Jahnke presiding. Inurnment in the Ness City Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 10 am until 9 pm with the family present from 7-9pm.
