Blanche Margaret Pfannenstiel, age 96, passed away on November 8, 2012 at her home in the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home, Hebron, Nebraska. She was born on October 21, 1916 the daughter of Hugh and Ethel Phleger Corrigan. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Ness County until she moved to Hebron in 2010. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and Altar Society, the Golden Years Senior Center, and the JJJ Club all of Ness City.

On May 16, 1939 she married Adolf P.Pfannenstiel in Ness City. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1985.

She is survived by two sons, Charles and Gloria Pfannenstiel, Hays and Wayne and Nancy Pfannenstiel, Quinter; three daughters Mary and Jerry Whipple, Jetmore, Betty and Dennis Hatch, Superior, Nebraska and Tammy and Dennis Langer, Ness City; granddaughter, Debbie Jackson (Randy) who was raised by Blanche and Adolf for 5 years; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Shirley Mae Turner who is survived by her husband Leo Turner (Marilyn); two brothers, Roy and Fred Corrigan; and two sisters, Violet Ruff and Mary Schliter.

Services will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. with the Parish Vigil following at 7:30 P.M. at the church on Monday. Viewing on Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Monday from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund, the American Cancer Society, or for masses.
