Calvin W. Harvey, age 91, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Rhode Island Suites, Ransom, Kansas. He was born on June 24, 1925 in Woods, Kansas the son of Isaac and Eunice (Hawk) Harvey.

He was an entrepreneur and a chemical salesman. He was known throughout the area for his editorials in various newspapers.

He married Leola Janine McCartee in Denver, Colorado in 1965. She preceded him in death on August 4, 1994.

Calvin is survived by his son Darren Harvey and his wife Michelle Lewis; two grandchildren, Andrew and Amelia Harvey; and three sisters, Phyllis Mendenhall, Letha Babcock, and Wanda Boxberger; and sisters-in-law Doris and Norma Harvey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.

Memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church, Utica on Saturday, January 21, 2017, 2:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given to First Christian Church, Utica or the Calvin Harvey Memorial Fund.
