Carletta Gentry, 85, passed away on May 11, 2026, at The University of Kansas Health System Great Bend Campus. She was born on October 5, 1940, in Red Onion, Arkansas the daughter of Homer and Mina (Porter) Collins.

Carletta was a bar manager and waitress for many years. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She married Everett Boge on October 2, 1957, in Florence, Arizona. He passed away.

Survivors include 4 sons, Gary Richard of Ness City; Dwayne Richard of Page, AZ; Harold Richard of Eloy, AZ; Robert Richard of Mexico; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mina Collins; husband, Everett Boge; sister, Loretta Parkinson; daughter-in-law, Donna Richard; daughter, Trina Rebecca; and grandson, Eric Richard.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 10:00 a.m., at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, Kansas. Burial in the Ness City Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Dementia Society of America.
