Celestine E. Leikam, age 95,passed away on April 12, 2013 at his home in Dodge City. He was born on February 16, 1918 in Catherine, Kansas the son of John and Rosa Garnnwitter Leikam.

He was a barber in the Lora Locke Hotel for many years and a member of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City. He was a US Army Air Force Veteran having served during World War II.

On February 28, 1949 he married Mildred Chance in Ness City. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jake, Alfonse, Leonard, Lewis, Joe, John, and an infant brother, Frank and his sisters, Alma Curtis, Dorothy Drake, and Anna Hopper. His youngest brother Frank Leikam, Ness City survives.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, Ness City. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosary service will begin at 6:30 pm with a Parish Vigil to follow at 7:00 PM at the church on Monday, April 15, 2013. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Monday from 9:00 A.M until 5:00 PM and at the church until service time.

Memorial contributions may be given to of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.
