Dateline: Ness City, Kansas

Chris Eugene Rupp, 17, was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 283, 1/4 mile from home, 8 miles South of Ness City.

Chris was born November 12, 1991 in Ness City, the son of Kenny and Sandy Delaney Rupp. He was as senior at Ness City High School and a member of the Future Farmers of America Chapter at NCHS. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and worked part-time at BTI and Rupp Brothers, LLC. He attended 8 years at Sacred Heart Grade School, all of Ness City.

Those he left behind with broken hearts are his parents, sister, Tracy, grandparents: Gene & Judy Delaney, Janette & Cliff Stieben, Jo Ann Lovitt all of Ness City and Bonnie Rupp, Pueblo, Colorado, great grandmothers Fern Delaney and Irene Blehm, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by grandfather Eugene Rupp and great grandparents Ed & Dorthea Rupp, Homer Delaney and Herman Blehm.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 6, 2009, 10:00 A.M. at the United Methodist Church, Ness City with Reverend Mark Chambers, pastor and Fr. Henry Hildebrandt, Sacred Heart Church presiding.

Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 PM with family visitation Wednesday 7 –9 PM at Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Burial in the Ness City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ness City High School FFA or the Ness County 4-H Shooting Club.
