Clyde "Skip" Lovitt, age 76, passed away at his home in Ness City, Kansas on October 19, 2013.
Clyde was born on June 10, 1937 in Sabetha, Kansas, the son of Charles and Frances Campfield Lovitt.
He was a horse trader for many years.
On November 7, 1958, he married Marion Christensen. She survives.
Clyde is also survived by his sons Jay Clyde (Laura) Lovitt, Columbia, South Carolina; Corey (Tammy) Bradford, Sun City, California; Tracy (Sabenna) Leavitt, Hemet, California; daughter Diana Lovitt, Linwood, Washington; brothers, Richard Charles Lovitt, Bakersfield, California; John Robert (Diane) Lovitt, Pleasanton, California; sisters Jo Lovitt, Ness City, Kansas; Sue (Chuck) Schlottach, Pueblo, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in Ness City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Lovitt; and daughter Melissa Jo Lovitt.
Viewing will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City, Kansas. Graveside service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Prairie, Dodge City, or Ness City Long Term Care.
