Connie L. Davis, age 56, passed away on October 27, 2009 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born on May 6, 1953 at Lima, Ohio the daughter of Bernard and Lois Layton. She had been a relief postmaster at the Utica Post Office and was a cake decorator. She had been a resident of Utica since August 1994, coming from Houston, Texas.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. On November 10, 1993 she married mark Davis at Dallas, Texas. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Lois Layton; a daughter, Pamela Thistlethwaite and a sister, Sandra Spring.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Layton; two half-sisters, Kathy McKillip and Judith Bailey and a half-brother, Mike McKillip.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church, Utica with Reverend Howard Bever presiding. Burial will be in the Utica Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday, October 30 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.
