Dale Lee
Schwartz
August 11, 1961 – May 17, 2026
Dale Lee Schwartz passed away on May 17, 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona. Dale was born on August 11, 1961, in Ness City, Kansas, to Larry and Diana Schwartz. He grew up helping with the family farming and ranching operation and attended grade school and high school in Ness City. Growing up, Dale loved sports and carried that passion throughout his life. After high school, he graduated from Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Construction work was Dale’s lifelong career. He established a cabinet business in Hutchinson, Kansas, before moving to Phoenix, Arizona, where he opened another cabinet business and continued working until his death.
Dale married Nancy Langer on September 10, 1983, in Ness City, Kansas. They made their home in Hutchinson, Kansas, where they lived for 20 years and raised their two sons before later moving to Phoenix, Arizona.
One of Dale’s greatest joys was watching his sons play soccer over the years. More recently, he enjoyed watching Phoenix Suns and KU basketball, Liverpool F.C. soccer, and Arizona Diamondbacks baseball.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; sons Skyler Schwartz of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dustin (Amanda) Schwartz of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren Dash and Demi Schwartz of Olathe, Kansas; mother Diana Schwartz of Ellinwood, Kansas; sister Rhonda (Rick) Wilson of Ellinwood, Kansas; mother-in-law Marjorie Langer of Ness City, Kansas; sister-in-law Kathy (Randy) Herrman of Hays, Kansas; nieces Aldyn Nairn (Austin), Ashtyn Hett (Colby), and their families; nephew Shawn Herrman (Leah) and family; aunt Judy Jordon; along with many cousins and friends who will deeply miss Dale’s love and sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Schwartz; father-in-law Ed Langer; and grandparents Philip and Lydia Schwartz and Galen and Dorothy Ely.
Dale’s family was the center of his world. Dash and Demi lovingly knew him as Poppa, a role he treasured deeply. His kindness, humor, and the wonderful memories shared throughout his life will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest well on your final journey. You will be forever missed.
Dale's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 12, at 1:30 p.m. at Bazine Cemetery.
Words of comfort and support may be left for the family by signing the guestbook.
