David Lee Howard, 62, passed away on September 6, 2024 at his significant other's residence in Ness City, Kansas.  He was born on September 21, 1961 in Dighton, Kansas the son of William "Bill" and Twila (Curtis) Howard.

Dave worked with cattle and farming for Bosley Farms before he was a lineman/ journeyman for Lane-Scott Electrical Company where he retired from. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Dighton.

Survivors include his significant other, Diane Calvin of Ness City; son, Nolan Speer and children, Elias and Remi of Nampa, ID; 2 daughters, Jamie Speer and Steve Stegeman and children, Elizabeth and Berklee of Delia, Tara Howard and child, Lucas of Colby; brother, Gary (Lisa) Howard of Overland Park; and sister, June (David) Schneider of Great Bend and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Twila Howard; and 2 brothers Gene and Dale Howard.

No service is planned but, visitation with the family will be on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Children's Hospital Colorado Anshutz Medical Campus where his grandson, Lucas receives his medical treatments.
