Dee Von Bauer, age 56, died on August 12, 2023, surrounded by her family at the Ness County Hospital, Ness City, KS.  She was born on August 31, 1966, in Ness City, the daughter of Gerald and Phyllis (Riepe) Leikam.

A lifetime resident of Ness County, Dee was very active in the community, especially serving as an EMT for 23 years with the Ness County EMS.  She was also a member of the American Legion Riders, Post 392, the American Legion Auxiliary, Frank Stull Post 152, and the Sacred Heart Church.  Dee was an active co-owner of Bradee's Pumping Service. Dee loved being with her family and was very proud that all her children and grandchildren lived in Ness City.

Dee is survived by her husband, Brady; three sons, Josh Crombie and his wife, Lauren, Dalton Bauer and his wife, Madison, and William Bauer; her daughter, Britttany Bauer (Ty Renz) all of Ness City; one sister, JoAnn Hashenberger and her husband, Brian, of Natoma; a brother, Mike Sheldon of Utah; and six grandchildren, Breilynn Renz, Conner Salmans, Maverick Bauer, Denny Bauer, Brodee Renz, and Colter Renz.

A memorial service will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19, 2023, 10:30 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
