Delores Nadine Betz, age 79 of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on February 15, 2024. She was born March 16, 1944 in Dodge City, Kansas to George Swatzell and Susie (Pelton) Swatzell. Delores graduated from Ness City High School in 1962.

On February 16, 1963 she married Gary Merle Betz. They had two children, April and Aaron and three grandchildren, Skyler, Austin and Kel.

Delores did many things in her life including working at the bank, running a skating rink, working for the Shopper's Weekly and later becoming an elementary substitute teacher for the Hooker, Oklahoma Public Schools. She loved knitting, painting, crocheting and many other arts and crafts. She also enjoyed going fishing.

She is survived by her son, Aaron Betz and wife Tammie of Palmetto, Florida; daughter, April Lujan and husband Jesse of Norman, Oklahoma; grandsons, Skyler Betz of Palmetto, Florida; Austin Ray of Norman, Oklahoma and Kel Coker and wife Avri of Edmond, Oklahoma. Sisters Patty Keller of Canon City, Colorado; Shirley Schuler and husband Jerry of Ness City, Kansas; brother Victor Swatzell and wife Linda of Phillipsburg, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, daughters Melody Dawn and Claresa Marie; father George Swatzell; mother Susie Curtis and step-father Frank Curtis.
