Donald Dean Weeks, age 89, passed away on October 31, 2015 at Rhode Island Suites, Ransom, Kansas. He was born on July 23, 1926 on the farm near Brownell, Kansas the son of John "Jack" and Nellie Brown Weeks.
He was a mail carrier, farmer and a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during World War II. He was a member of the Brownell American Legion Dale Sunley Post 382, the Brownell-Ransom United Methodist Church and the Ransom Lions Club.
On November 11, 1949 he married Donna Howell in Brownell, Kansas. She preceded him in death on September 28, 1996.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Willour and husband Randy, Ransom; his son, Terry Weeks and wife Sherrill (Stofer), Brownell; eight grandchildren, Garrett (Shelby) Willour, Adrienne Willour, Britney (Cody) Scott, Kate (Tyrell) Zehner, Ben (Helen) Weeks, Will, Adam and Callie Weeks; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Weeks and a granddaughter-in-law, Candy Willour.
His memorial service will be on Saturday, November 7, 2015, 10:30 A.M. at the United Methodist Church, Ransom. Inurnment will be in the Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell with military graveside rites by the Brownell American Legion.
