A. Doneta Parsons, age 81, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Hill Top House, Bucklin, Kansas. She was born on November 7, 1928 in Jet, Oklahoma the daughter of Dan and Eva Zimmerman Yoder. On July 2, 1949 she married Calvin C. Parsons at Harper, Kansas. They made there home in McCracken in 1953 where they were members of the United Methodist Church, the McCracken Country Club and participated in every McCracken activity. In 1982 they moved to Ness City where she lived until 2006 when Doneta moved to Spearville. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star both of Ness City.

She is survived by her son Vic Parsons and wife Susie, Spearville, KS; her daughter Sharon Eaton and husband Tracy, Jamestown, KS; three brothers: Phil Yoder, Elkhart, Ronald Yoder, Wichita, and Robert "Bobby" Yoder, Goddard; three sisters: Elma York, Nash, OK, Doris Selley, Belvista, AR, and Joan Freeman, Liberal; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin on September 22, 1997, and sisters Odena Miller and Evelyn Holmes.

Funeral service will be at the United Methodist Church, McCracken on Thursday, July 8, 2010, 2:00 PM with Reverend David Bolz and Reverend Allen Smith presiding. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1pm until 9pm, Wednesday 9am – 9pm and Thursday at the church from noon until service time.
Burial in the McCracken Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the McCracken Country Club.
