Donna Colleen Whipple, 90, passed away on October 10, 2024, at the Lane County Hospital LTC in Dighton, Kansas.  She was born on August 9, 1934, in Beeler, Kansas, the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy (Whipple) Stout.

She was a homemaker, farm wife, mother of four, and a member of the Beeler Methodist Church.  Donna was always active in the community and on the farm, working wherever she was needed. On June 1st, 1952, she married Rex Whipple in Ness City, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband of 72 year, Rex Whipple; her daughter Barbara Harrold and her husband, Terry, of Ness City; three sons, Randy Whipple and his friend, Michelle, of Dighton, Marvin Whipple and his wife, Lisa, of Pawnee Rock, and Darwin Whipple of Beeler; eight grandchildren, Jeane Holton, Wendy Miller, Andrea Bernard, Tiffany Alf, Brandi Hartley, Alyssa Frick, Faren Ostmeyer, and Alexis Whipple; 20 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Lee Stout of Nebraska and Ron Stout of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Myra Stout; daughter-in-law, Beverly Whipple; and two great grandsons, James and John Frick.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, Ness City followed by burial in the Beeler Cemetery, Beeler, Kansas.  Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Beeler Fire Department or the Beeler Community Building.
