Edwin Wayne Beamer, age 88, died April 4, 2012 at Rhode Island Suites, Ransom, Kansas. He was born on August 24, 1923 in WaKeeney, Kansas the son of Merrit and Vera Clodfelter Beamer.
He was a farmer and stockman. He graduated from the Ransom High School in 1942. On October 24, 1998 he married Drucilla VanWinkle Whitham in Ransom. She survives.
Other survivors include three step-sons, Rishel Whitham, Fort Collins, Colorado, Kelly Whitham, Bedford, Iowa, and Anthony Whitham, Littleton, Colorado; a nephew, Greg Simpson, Ransom and two nieces, Jane Lambert, Three Points, Tennessee and Kathy Link, Dodge City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters, Ethel Kingery and Edna Simpson.
Funeral Service and burial will be Monday, April 9, 2012, 10:30 A.M. at the Ransom Cemetery, Ransom, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to Rhode Island Suites.
