Emagene Ilene Storms, age 85, died on March 12, 2022 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore, Kansas. She was born in Ness City, Kansas on November 14, 1936 the daughter of Harve and Elma (Tittel) Mauch.

After high school graduation, Emagene attended and graduated from a school of cosmetology.  She worked as a beautician and a secretary for many years.  In 1957, Emagene married Clyde Gross.  They were later divorced.  On May 7, 1973 she married Jerome Storms in Oregon.  He died November 13, 2021.

Emagene is survived by her four children, Terry Gross (Ruthie Bray) of Hoisington, Susan Frusher (Tom) and Cindy Reinert (Mike) of Ness City, and Christina Cohoon (Darin) of Jetmore; two brothers, Larry Mauch (Lucy) of Denton, Texas and John Mauch (Lois) of Beeler; three sisters, Sharon Erskin (Don) of Great Bend, Ramona Meis of Ness City, and Mary Ann Clay of Hill City; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerome Storms.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, 10:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.  Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ness County Bank Building or the First Baptist Church.
