Eunice LaVada McGinnis, age 88, passed away at Rhode Island Suites, Ransom, Kansas on October 10, 2013. She was born on the farm near Brownell, Kansas on May 18, 1925, the duaghter of Arthur and Sabina Gustason McGinnis.
She left Brownell after graduating from Brownell High School in 1943 and went to Kansas City where she worked for North American Aviation driving rivits to build B-24 Liberator Heavy Bomber planes during World War II. Later she worked for BeechCraft and as an insurance agent in Wichita. She bred and cared for Dachshunds for many years. In 1987 she moved back to Brownell where she lived for 20 years before moving to Rhode Island Suites, Ransom.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Vernard, James, Merlin, and Marlin McGinnis; sisters: Bernice Sidebottom, Ethel Sunley, Ruby McGinnis, and Elvira McGinnis.
Burial and graveside service will be Tuesday, October 15, 2013, 10:30 A.M., Vansburgh Cemetery, Brownell, Kansas.
