Ferlyn O. Moore's Obituary
Ferlyn O. Moore, age 86, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at his home in Ness City, Kansas. Born January 22, 1923 on the farm near Bazine, Kansas the son of Earl O. and Hermina G. Schaben Moore. He was a machinist with Cessna Aviation Industries and a farmer. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Ness City, Shriners and a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge
On April 11, 1950 he married Eleanor Joan Bain in Alva, Oklahoma. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his son, William Moore and his wife Millie, Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Joyce Orebaugh, Riverside, California and Melody Davis, Tampa, Florida; his brother, Harvey Moore, Ness City; grandson, Scott Orebaugh and great-granddaughter, Amber Orebaugh. His sister Cleo Maser preceded him in death.
Funeral service: Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Ness City with Reverend Mark Chambers presiding. Burial and Masonic graveside rites in the Ness City Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Sunday and Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Southwind Hospice or the Church.
