Frances "Frankie" Lee Oliver, aged 90, passed away peacefully, with her daughter, DeAnn, by her side, on April 18, 2025, at Rhode Island Suites in Ransom, Kansas. She was born on February 2, 1935, on a farm in Trego County, Kansas, she was the beloved daughter of Frank and Sophia (Leis) Roths.
Frankie dedicated many years of her life as a CNA for over 30 years at Grisell Memorial Hospital and was a volunteer EMT where her compassion and care touched many lives. She had a passion for crocheting and writing heartfelt poems, often inspired by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Frankie Lee had a love of flowers and always had beautiful flowers growing in the yard. Her door was always open, day and night, to friends and family.
She was a member of the St. Aloysius Church and the Altar Society in Ransom, Kansas. On December 29, 1953, she married the love of her life, Billy Dean Oliver, in Ransom, Kansas. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing on July 6, 2017.
Frankie is survived by her sons, Randy Oliver (Kimberly Rider) of Ransom, and Cody Oliver (Misti) of Hazen, North Dakota; her daughters, Rhonda Randecker of Dighton, Sandra Fehrenbach (Gary) of Ness City, Pamela Jensen of Hays, DeAnn Oliver of Ransom, and Belinda Martindale of Dighton. She also leaves behind her sister, Janie Boyd of Jacksonville, Florida, 13 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dean, her seven sisters, Evelyn Hunter, Laurine Roths, Olivia Roths, Eileen Randall Foster, Delores Hartman, Darlene Foster, and Berneice Bare; her brother, Robert Roths; and a great granddaughter, Emalyn Bernbeck.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. a Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City, followed by burial in the St. Aloysius Cemetery in Ransom. A rite of reception and blessing will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a rosary at Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Viewing will be available on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Aloysius Church, Cemetery, or Altar Society.
