George Warren Riffel, 63, passed away on January 17, 2025 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.  He was born on October 25, 1961 in Plainville, Kansas the son of Warren and Darlene (Naiman) Riffel.

George was a stockman and oil pumper. He was a member of the Cattleman's Association, and NRA. He loved guns, his cattle herd, shooting trap, fishing, riding motorcycles, his dogs, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He married Jeanette Johnston on November 25, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Survivors include wife, Jeanette Riffel; children, Beau Riffel, Pam Mahannah, Jaime Darnell, Thomas Yakish (stepson), Elisa Dinges and Jennifer Nau (stepdaughters), Dallas Dinges (stepson); siblings Robert Riffel, Cindy Mcdowell, Gloria Harris, Terrie Goddard; 21 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rebecca Goddard; brothers, Kit and David Goddard; niece, Angela Goddard; and stepdaughters, Merlynna Harley, and Morgan Scott.

A Farewell Party will be at the Community Building on March 29, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ness County Fire District # 1 or Heartland Veterinary Clinic in honor of George Riffel.
