Greg Overlease, aged 68, of Ness City, formerly of Stockton, Norton, and Dresden, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Born on August 14, 1956, in Oberlin, Kansas, he was the son of Cecil and Ramona Overlease.

Greg graduated from Scott City High School in 1974 and pursued carpentry at Vo-Tech school in Goodland. He married Annette Spresser on May 10, 1980, in Leoville, Kansas. Greg dedicated 30 years to construction, successfully owning and operating Overlease Construction. In 2015, Greg and Annette moved to Stockton, where they owned and operated Webster Bait and Tackle for nine years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annette, and their children: Nathan Overlease and wife, Lisa, of Stockton; Mathew Overlease and wife, Tiffany, of Ness City; Aaron Overlease and wife, Laurol, of Solomon; and daughter, Amber Pfannenstiel and husband, Trevor, of Ness City. Greg was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren: McKenzie, Ashtyn, Brynlee, Kellen, Brooklyn, Trey, Kambri, Reid, Chase, Ricki, Reese, and Raelea, and two great-grandchildren, Ruthie and Kingston. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Overlease and wife, Cindy; sister, Sandy Cearley and husband, John; his mother, Ramona Overlease, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Overlease, and a sister, Barb Seib.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Sacred Heart Church in Ness City, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A Parish Rosary and Vigil will begin at 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, with visitation to follow.
