Hubert Ray Kraft, 86, passed away on November 22, 2019 at the Rhode Island Suites in Ransom, Kansas. He was born on November 11, 1933 in Trego County, Kansas the son of Jacob and Eva (Eichman) Kraft.
He worked for Siebert Sand, Ness County Road and Bridge and he drove a truck for Sekaveks and in the oil field. Hubert was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean War and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ness City. On Friday, November 21, 1958 he married Shirley Leterle in Guymon, Oklahoma.
Survivors include wife of 61 years, Shirley Kraft; sons, Larry Kraft and his wife, Donna, of Ness City, Bill Kraft and his wife, Glenda, of Derby, Ray Kraft and his friend, Mary Werth, of Antonino; brother, Delvin Kraft and his wife, Vivian, of Ransom; sister, Helen Wagner of Ness City; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Infant Reinhold, Herman, Reinhold, J., and Paul Kraft; and his two sisters, Betty Birzer and Darlene Cody.
Memorial service and inurnment will be held at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, Fort Dodge, Kansas on Friday, December 6, 2019, 10:30 a.m. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the United States Navy and the American Legion Eighth District Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Fort Dodge Soldiers Home.
