Ilene V Maier's Obituary
Ilene V. Maier, age 83, died Monday, November 09, 2009 at the Ness County Hospital, Ness City, Kansas. She was born on September 15, 1926 on the family farm South of Bazine.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Saint Luke's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide, Bazine. On December 29, 1945 she married Julius Maier at Bazine. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2005
She is survived by two sons: Dennis Maier and his wife Margaret, Bazine and Michael Maier and his wife Sandi, Ness City; one daughter, Linnell Maier, Wichita; one brother, Robert Wittman and Cheryl Lagle, Bazine; one sister, Johnette Schaben, Bazine, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Ilene was preceded in death by grandson, Scott Maier and an infant brother, Larry Wittman.
Funeral services will be at Saint Luke's Lutheran Church, Bazine on Thursday, November 12, 2009, 10:30 am with Pastor Warren Prochnow presiding. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Burial in the Bazine Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Bazine Cemetery Fund or the Craig Institute for Spinal Cord Injuries.
