Janelda Darlene Harkness, age 87, passed away on October 13, 2018 at Hays Med in Hays, Kansas. She was born on December 31, 1930 South of Brownell, Kansas the daughter of Jesse and Amelia (Keil) Brown.

On March 13, 1955 she married Keith Harkness in Utica, Kansas. They made their home in Ransom and Ness City, Kansas where they raised three daughters. Keith preceded her in death on April 18, 2007.

Janelda is survived by two daughters, Kelle Goodman and her husband, Craig and Kandi Keathley all of Ness City; one granddaughter, Caitlin Njogu of Kansas City, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; daughter, Beth Warner; son-in-law, Jeff Keathley; two sisters and two brothers.

Inurnment will be in the Ransom Cemetery.
