Joe Dinges, age 86, passed away at Ness County Hospital, Ness City, Kansas, on July 4, 2014.

He was born on January 10, 1928, the son of Chris and Apollonia Meis Dinges.

He was a lifetime resident of Ness City, where he was a farmer and cattle rancher.

On May 31, 1949, he married Rachel Rahm.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel, Ness City; son, Brad Dinges, Ness City, KS; daughters Marlene (John) Elsey, Garden City, KS, Kathleen (Bruce) Elsey, Greenwood Village, CO; grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Elsey, Manhattan, KS, Bryan (Holly) Elsey, Manhattan, KS, Ashlee Dinges, Colby, KS, Taylor (Mike) Janzen, Hillsboro, KS; great-grandchildren, Kael Janzen, Lily Kay Elsey, George Elsey; and sister, Rita Kisslinger, Concordia, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer, Tom, Demus; and sister Clee.

Viewing will be Sunday, July 6, 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 7, 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, Ness City.

Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be given to Sacred Heart Church.
