Jonathan James Henning, age 20, passed away, on Friday, August 17, 2012 in Hays, Kansas. He was born on June 26, 1992 in Ransom, Kansas the son of Terry and Joby Wendler Henning.
He was a student at Fort Hays State University getting ready to start his junior year. He was a 2010 graduate of Ness City High School, a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City and the Knights of Columbus Council #2352, Ransom.
He is survived by his parents; two older brothers, Nickolas and Benjamin Henning; grandmother, Kathy Wendler, a great grandfather, Tony Wildeman all of Ness City and a grandfather, Julius Henning, Ransom. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Henning and his grandfather, Mell Wendler.
Friends may call Wednesday from 9am until 9pm, Thursday from 9am until 3pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City and at the church on Thursday from 5pm until service time. Rosary led by the Knights of Columbus will be at the church at 7:00 pm on Thursday with the Parish Vigil immediately following. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 24, 2012, 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City. Burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Ness City.
