Juanita Louise VanWinkle, age 88, died February 23, 2010 at the Rhode Island Suites, Ransom. She was born on September 6, 1921 in Ransom the daughter of Cecil and Elizabeth Petty Zordel.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ransom Church of Christ. On November 11, 1960 she married Vernon VanWinkle in Ransom. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1995.
She is survived by sons: Richard VanWinkle, Flower Mounds, TX and Dennis VanWinkle, Lakewood, CO; daughters: Judy Luetters, Dodge City and Verna Browning, Wichita; brothers: Herbert, Wichita, Vernon, Miami, OK, and Marrel, Albuquerque; sisters: Irena Swartz, Weskan, and Rosaline Nesler, Wichita; and 13 grandchildren. Her daughter Dana Roby preceded her in death.
Friends by call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Friday from 9am until 9pm and on Saturday from 9am until 10:30am. Funeral Service and burial will be at the Ransom Cemetery on Saturday, 11:30 am with Pastor Jeff Jensen presiding.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Church of Christ or the Rhode Island Suites, Ransom.
