Kenneth Earl Gardner, age 79, passed away at his home in Ness City on April 26, 2011. He was born July 4, 1931 in Kimball, Nebraska the son of Myles and Ruth Ernst Gardner. He was a farmer and rancher, a member of the Pine Bluffs Baptist Church and the Farmers' Union both of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.
On October 1, 1967 he married Mary Ellis in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Michael Gardner, Pine Bluffs; daughter, Melanie Gardner, Littleton, Colorado; two brothers, Richard (Mary Jean) and LeRoy (Glenda) Gardner both of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; and a sister, Ellen Strube (Don), Riverton, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, two nephews and one niece.
Funeral service will be at the Pine Bluffs Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 1:00 PM with Pastor Dan DeBruyn presiding. Visitation will be at the Church prior to the service. Burial in the Pine Bluffs cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Ness County Hospital Home Health. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.fitzgeraldfuneral.com.
