Kim Louis Huxman, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Hays on Friday, October 11, 2013. He was born on January 17, 1951 in Arnold, Kansas the son of Rex and Jean Conkright Huxman.

He was a Degreed Registered Land Surveyor and worked as the Party Chief for the Kansas Department of Transportation. Kim loved tending to his lawn and garden.

He was married to Paula Horchem. From this union came two children, Lana Vaughn and Scott Huxman. In December 2001 he married Mary Ruhl. She survives. He is also survived by his two children, mother Jean Huxman and his brother Kent Huxman.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Stacy Huxman; father, Rex Huxman, and his sister, Kris Huxman .

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, 10:30 A.M. at the Arnold Cemetery, Arnold, Kansas. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M..

Visitation with the family present will be on Wednesday, 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M.

Memorial contributions may be given to Kansas Right To Life or Donor's Choice.
