Lillie L. Hoch Moore, 92, was born September 27, 1919, at home near Bazine, Kansas. She passed away at the Ness County Hospital May 30, 2012. She was the daughter of Ernest Ray and Bessie May Sutton Hoch. She attended the Bazine schools.
In 1935 she married Frank Claire Moore in Jetmore. He passed away in December 1979. Most of her married life she lived in the Beeler community. She attended Beeler Methodist Church.
Lillie was a housewife and enjoyed coyote hunting with Claire and the boys. She liked to fish, and if any fish were to be caught, they were on her hook! Lillie enjoyed crocheting, reading, dancing, and a good game of cards. She seemed to have a green thumb. Her windows were always blooming with geraniums.
Lillie is survived by a daughter Josephine "Peggy" and her husband Howard Fenley, Alamota, and two sons Leland and wife Kathy, Dighton, and Delroy and wife Avis, Ness City, seven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant daughter, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons, five brothers, and three sisters.
Lillie has lived the past 12 years in Cedar Village Long Term Care because of her arthritis. She enjoyed all the games, programs, and services. She had wit and humor to bring a smile and always enjoyed a joke.
The time has come-we've had Mama these extra 33 years. Today we lay her beside Daddy. In His care again.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, with burial following at Beeler Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9 am until 9 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to Cedar Village or United Methodist Church, Beeler.
