Lois Elaine Stieben, age 95, passed away at Grisell Memorial Long Term Care, Ransom, Kansas on January 17, 2012. She was born on November 2, 1916 near Bazine, Kansas the daughter of David and Mabel Wendell Yount. She was the Postmaster in Bazine for 25 years, She was a member of the Bazine First Baptist Church.

On April 17, 1940 she married Wilbert Stieben. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1986. She is survived by daughters, Kaye (Gail) Harris, Ness City and Bobbi (David) Lawrence, Ness City; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nellie Stephens.

Funeral service will be Monday, January 23, 2012, 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, Ness City. Friends may call on Saturday and Sunday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. Burial in Bazine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Grisell Memorial Long Term Care.
