Lois E. Wedgewood, age 93, died on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Cedar Village, Ness City, Kansas. She was born on September 6, 1920 in Hazelton, Kansas the daughter of Abram and Ada DeMint Dunkin. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Ness City, Kansas. She had lived in Ness City since 1968 coming from Kingman, Kansas. On July 1, 1939 she married Cecil Wedgewood in Medicine Lodge. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1991. She is survived by her two sons, Robert Wedgewood, Great Bend, Kansas and Milton (Gwen) Wedgewood, Greeley, Colorado; daughter, Barbara (Jack) Joseph, Greeley, Colorado; brother, Robert Dunkin, Rye, Colorado; Betty Wedgewood, Ness City; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Ronald Wedgewood; grandson, Randy Wedgewood; two sisters, Flo Hillary and Vola Hoff; daughter-in-law, Shirley Wedgewood and sister-in-law, Jean Dunkin. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 15, 2014, 10:30 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, Ness City with burial following in the Ness City Cemetery. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lois Wedgewood Memorial Fund.
