Loris Jean Jacka, age 90, passed away on November 13, 2013 at the Gove County Medical Center Long Term Care in Quinter. She was born on July 26, 1923 in Ransom, Kansas, the daughter of Carl and Mary Davis Frye.

Loris was a lifetime resident of Ness and Gove Counties and a member of the First Christian Church, Utica. She was an active member of both the Utica and Quinter communities.

On May 31, 1941 she married Delaine Jacka in WaKeeney, Kansas. He survives along with their three daughters, Kay (Robert) Curtis, Ransom, Donita (Larry) Boles, Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Wanita Cook (Doug Roemer), Grainfield, Kansas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sheree Chestnut, great granddaughter, Tristan Baker, her brother, Herbert Frye, and her two sisters, Iris Carrabino and Marian Frye.

Memorial services will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, 10:30 A.M at the First Christian Church, Utica with inurnment following in the Utica Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church, Gove County Medical Center, the Gove County Ambulance Service, or donor's choice.
