Louis H Witthuhn, Jr

Louis H Witthuhn, Jr, 86, passed away June 17, 2009. He was born July 4, 1922 to Louis H Witthuhn, Sr and Anna Mauth Witthuhn at their farm west of Bazine. He was a Farmer. As a child he attended Walnut Hill School which was near his home. He graduated from Bazine High School in 1941. On August 19, 1945 he married Sibyl McFadden, she survives. They began their married life living just south of his childhood home. In 1954 they moved to Bazine where they have lived since.

Survivors include three (3) sons, Larry and wife Karen of Edmond, Oklahoma, Van and his wife Jan of Hays, Kansas and Ray and his wife Carol of Bazine, Kansas, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Verlyn and Harold, both of Bazine. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Milton "Bud" and a sister, Lena Witthuhn Strecker.

During his life he enjoyed following his children and grandchildren's sport activities. He held numerous leadership positions at St. Lukes Lutheran Church and was a member of the Bazine Cooperative Board of Directors for many years.
Funeral Service was held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Bazine on Saturday, June 20, 2009, 10:00 A.M. with burial following in the Bazine Cemetery.

He will be remembered for his work ethic. The family requests that the Bazine Cemetery be remembered with memorials.
