Marguerite Permelia Stutz, age 96, passed away at her home in Hanston on Feb. 7, 2011. She was born on Feb. 5, 1915 in Utica, Kansas the daughter of Elza and Hattie Benson Perkins.
She spent the majority of her life in Utica, Ness City, and Hanston, a teacher in public schools and she taught piano. She attended Faith Fellowship Bible Church, Hanston, a member of First Baptist Church, Ness City and First Christian Church, Utica. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Fort Hays State University Alumni, FCE Extension Unit, and she was a 50+ year member of Eastern Star
On Feb. 22, 1948 she married William V. Stutz in Utica. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1991. Survivors include daughter Gwen Salmans and her husband, Walt, Hanston; son: Robert Stutz and his wife, Pat, Utica; daughter-in-law, Elva Stutz; 22 grandchildren,48 great grandchildren, and 26 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by three daughters: Thelma Atwell, Bonnie Poser, and Ruth Parks; son Duane Stutz, sister, Galene Lovitt and grandson Eric Ward.
Funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 11, 3:00pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City with burial in the Ness City Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 9am - 9pm at the funeral home and Friday from 9am until 1pm. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Fellowship Bible Church, Hanston, First Baptist Church, Ness City and First Christian Church, Utica.
