Marie Frances Erb, age 86, passed away at Atrium Medical Center, Corinth, Texas near her daughter's home. She was born on November 14, 1926 in Toronto, Kansas the daughter of Curtis and Frances Reynard Williams, Sr.
She was a school teacher having taught in Woodson and Ness County schools. She was a graduate of Fort Hays State University and a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Ness County Historical Society and the Beta Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma all of Ness City.
On June 1, 1950 she married Earl P. Erb in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2009.
Marie is survived by her son Eldon Erb and his wife RoxAnne, Broomfield, Colorado; three daughters, Marchia Ruth and her husband Gene, Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Janice Goldsworthy and her husband Mike, Denton, Texas, and Anita Lynch, Kempner, Texas; one brother, Curtis Williams, Jr. and his wife Barbara, Norman, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christiana Maybee and her sister, Gertrude Blevins.
Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 7:00 – 9:00 PM.
Funeral service will be at the United Methodist Church, Ness City, Kansas on Thursday, June 20, 2013, 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at the Bazine Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the "Local Classroom Grant Project" administered by Beta Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Checks may be made payable to Beta Gamma Chapter.
