Marilyn Sue Summey, age 73, passed away at Grisell Memorial Hospital, Ransom, Kansas on January 15, 2012. She was born on September 6, 1938 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of Bernard and Emma Huxman Bernbeck. She was a homemaker and formerly a librarian and sales clerk. She was a member of Utica First Christian Church.

On August 5, 1956 she married Don Summey. He survives. Other survivors: Sons: Mark (Terri) Summey, Emporia, Bernie (Gert) Summey, Ness City, and Lance (Fran) Summey, Kingwood, Texas; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service is Thursday, January 19, 2012, 10:30 A.M. at Utica First Christian Church, Utica. Friends may call on Tuesday and Wednesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Burial in Utica Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Utica First Christian Church.
