Obituary

Marlin M. McGinnis, age 79, died September 6, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Via Christi, Wichita, Kansas. He was born April 24, 1931 in Brownell the son of Arthur and Sabina Gusteson McGinnis. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force stationed with the 310th Air Refueling Squadron of the 310th Bomb Wing and ran a Gasoline Service Station for many years. On July 24, 1974 he married Freddie Painter. She preceded him in death on February 26, 1988. He is survived by brother Vernard and sister Eunice McGinnis both of Ransom. He was preceded in death by a brother Merlin McGinnis and four sisters: Ruby and Elvira McGinnis, Bernice Sidebottom, and Ethel Sunley.

Memorial graveside service and inurnment will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010, 10:00 am at the Vansburg Cemetery, Brownell with Terry Weeks presiding. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Brownell American Legion Dale Sunley Post No.382 with assistance of Sons of The American Legion Squadron at Brownell. Friends may come to sign the book at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City on Monday, September 13 from 9am - 8pm.
