Marlin R. Stum, 81 , passed away on May 22, 2016 at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas. He was born on January 24, 1935 in Ness County, Kansas, the son of Glen and Nell LaNore (Ficken) Stum.
He was a farmer and a rancher. He married Sandra Stairrett on June 3rd, 1956 in Jetmore, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Marc (Beverly) Stum, Hutchinson and Todd (Trina) Stum, Syracuse, KS; two daughters, Serena (Chris) McGinn, Sedgwick and Michelle (Kenny) Wilkerson, Benton; one brother, Linly (Sherell) Stum, Towner, CO; one brother-in-law, Dave Schuler; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jenean Schuler.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, 2:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church, Ness City. Burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Ness City. Friends may call at Fitzgerald Funeral Home on Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30 from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Tuesday, May 31, 9:00 A.M. until noon.
Memorial contributions may be given to the United Methodist Foundation Fund for Prospective Ministers or the Ness City High School FFA Scholarship.
