Mary Ann (Mauch) Clay, 80, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the Graham County Hospital in Hill City, KS. She was born on September 11, 1945, in Ness City, KS, the daughter of Harvey and Elma (Tittel) Mauch.

Mary Ann was raised in Ness City but lived her adult life in various locations throughout Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma. In later life she was happy to move closer to “home” and spent her later years in Hill City where she attended the Methodist church and was blessed with wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Emagene (Mauch) Storms.

She is survived by her son Jerad Clay of Hill City; granddaughters Amy and Kaitlynn Clay of San Antonio, TX; sister Ramona Meis of Ness City, KS; brother John Mauch and wife Lois of Beeler, KS; sister Sharon Erskin of Great Bend, KS; brother Larry Mauch and wife Lucy of Denton, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Private services will be held at a later date. Burial in the Ness City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be given to the Hill City Methodist Church or Graham Co EMS in care of Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City, KS.
