Matilda "Tillie" Natalie Bain Jones, age 88, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her home in the Rhode Island Suites, Ransom, Kansas. She was born on February 16, 1926 in Galatia, Kansas the daughter of William and Natalia Krug Dietz.

Tillie worked numerous jobs through her lifetime. Besides raising her children she was a waitress, telephone switchboard operator, security guard and an apartment manager. She worked for Walmart, Hewlett Packard, and others.

On November 24, 1944 she married William Bain and later she married Ronald Jones on January 16, 1965.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Eggers (Ken), Canton, Georgia; two sons, Ronnie Bain, Ness City and Craig Jones (Mimi), Fort Collins, Colorado; six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Steven Bain and her siblings; Daniel, Julius, Ben, Connie, Eddie, Raymond, Tobias, Minnie Dietz, and two infant brothers.

Funeral service will be on Friday, July 18, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ness City. Burial will be in the Ness City Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lutheran Disaster Relief Fund in lieu of flowers.
